Overview
WEB DEVELOPMENT (FRONT-END & BACK-END)
You will learn how to create a website that combines great design and exceptional functionality. In this course, you will gain the specialised skills needed to plan, design, implement, test and maintain web applications as a professional web developer.
You will develop web applications using JavaScript, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for this course, however to successfully participate and complete this course you will need to have:
- Very good knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Programming experience, preferably in PHP and JavaScript
- Image creation and manipulation in a package such as Photoshop
- Web design principles
- Above-average typing skills
- Very good communication skills
If you do not have the above skills we recommend starting with a Certificate IV in IT (Web Development).
What will I be able to do when I finish this course?
Completion of this diploma will provide you with the ability to apply for a university degree in information technology. Individual campuses will advise you of any credit towards the degree some campuses provide you with 1 year of exemptions.
